What is Self-Mastery???

What are the individual components integrated into your self-mastery?

Let’s start with… knowing yourself well!

How well do you know yourself?  Do you trust yourself?

Your relationship with yourself is the most important one in this life. We have to be a ME before we can be a WE – this includes serving your customers in your business. There are deep intrapersonal exercises we can take to do the work and really KNOW who we are inside and out!

2… Being honest with yourself.

From small to big, no matter the issue, topic, or situation, how truly honest are you with yourself?

When you try to diet and you feel really good about sticking to your structured meal plan, but then feel the urge to sneak that snack that is NOT on the list of approved foods, do you tell yourself “it’ll be fine” or are you honest with yourself and resist the temptation?!

When you have to deliver that pitch, schedule that call, show up at that event, do you shy away and procrastinate telling yourself you’re not good enough anyway and today won’t make a difference for you, or do you relish the opportunity to show up for yourself and practice because the truth is that you have something to offer?!

How does being honest with yourself impact your personal and professional life? What areas of your life do you need to be more honest with yourself about?

We can control what we do, say, think, and feel – with a quick internal check, ask yourself if you are being honest with yourself when you feel stuck, insecure, or even lack a little bit of discipline. Self-Mastery is KEY!!!

3… Leveraging your strengths.

Understanding your strengths unlocks your potential and leads to greater performance.

Part of our commitment to self-mastery is determining our strengths and learning to live within them, leveraging them. We are all good at different things. Working within your strengths allows you to focus on the actions you need to take, that you are uniquely good at, and paints a clear picture of the tasks that should be delegated.

Do you know what your strengths are?

4… Adapting to your weaknesses.

Knowing your strengths is only half the battle…. What do you think your weaknesses are? How would you use them to your advantage?

Here are some steps you can take:

  • Recognize and accept your weaknesses. You can’t turn a weakness into a strength if you’re busy denying the weakness exists
  • Get guidance from someone you trust.
  • Be very prepared.
  • Hire the skills you lack.
  • Get just good enough.
  • Look for ways to serve others with the same problem.

5… Putting in the time and doing the work to develop the skills.

Here’s the most important question… WHY are you doing what you do and WHO are you doing it for? Yourself, or others?

Everything I share is something I have implemented in my own life, my own self-mastery, and has profoundly changed my life both personally and professionally. These skills, the personal development, and confidence and clarity of knowing who I am and what I do well, I do it all for ME. I share it with others because I know the talents God has gifted me and that it’s my commitment to serve others with the same wealth of knowledge, love, and support.

Finally… People who attain self-mastery are believed to have effectively developed these important skills… learning to think… learning to lean into their intuition… learning to feel… learning to act on purpose… learning to communicate effectively… learning to lead… and learning to be comfortable in their own skin and allow themselves to be seen.
